Novak Djokovic defeats Andy Murray, wins French Open

With Roger Federer pulling out of the French Open last weekend, the path was clear for World No. 1 Novak Djokovic to take the title for the first time and complete his career Grand Slam. He did just that when he took out Andy Murray three sets to one in the final on Sunday.

It was a pretty big day for Djokovic, who won the last three sets after dropping the first 6-3. He finally won the career Grand Slam, which has alluded him since he won his first Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open, in 2008.

Fourth time's the charm 🙌. World No.1 Djokovic captures his maiden #RolandGarros crown, d. Murray 3-6 6-1 6-2 6-4.

Novak Djokovic now turns his attention to Wimbledon as he continues his run to the first-ever strict calendar Grand Slam after winning the Australian earlier this year. This could be a fun run for the top tennis player in the world over the next few months.
