UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the Ohio State alternate uniforms pictured below will be worn during the 2016 season.
Last season, the Ohio State Buckeyes strayed from tradition by stepping onto the field in an all-black uniform. This year, it appears as though the Buckeyes will once again have on alternate look, but this will be a blast from way back in the past.
There is no word on if and when Ohio State could bust out an alternate uniform this season, but 247 Sports may have released the first peek at the new look.
According to the 247 Sports report, a photo “was taken at Ohio State facilities by commit Shaun Wade’s father during a trip to campus this weekend.” The photo shows an old school, striped throwback in Buckeyes colors.

The uniform looks similar to a Buckeyes look from the early 1900’s.
That is especially convenient, since 247 Sports points out the Buckeyes first conference title came in 1916, 100 years ago. If there was ever a time to bust out such a classic look, this would be the year.
