Boston Red Sox first baseman and slugger David Ortiz will be retiring at the conclusion of the 2016 season and he is trying to find something to do once his career ends. Maybe blasting pinatas as a guest at children’s birthday parties isn’t the best thing for him.
In a recent ad for jetBlue, Big Papi is seen going around and smashing pinatas, much to the shock and dismay of the children at the parties. He showed exactly what happens when a professional baseball player swings at a paper mache donkey.

I guess this is much easier than watching 20 kids struggling to bust open the cardboard clownhead for a half hour. Much quicker satisfaction for everyone involved.
This probably isn’t the best option for David Ortiz after retirement, but it certainly made for an interesting video.
