Brandon Gaudin, Charles Davis to voice ‘Madden 17’

Madden 17 will feature a tight end on the cover for the first time this year as New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski earned the honors. It will also feature new voices as Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis will replace Jim Nantz and Phil Simms.

It was announced by EA Tiburon on Wednesday that the pair will voice the game this year. Gaudin will handle play-by-play commentary, while Davis handles color commentary and both of them have the credentials to do so.

Gaudin has been the voice of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets since 2013 and will handle play-by-play duties for the Big Ten Network this year. He will also be the lead college football announcer for Westwood One Sports.

Davis provides analysis on both the NFL Network and NFL on Fox. He was the lead game analyst for Fox Sports’ college football coverage before moving to NFL full-time beginning in the 2015 season.

Madden 17 is set to release on August 23 later this year.
