Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines have been traveling the country, and the world, for satellite camps this summer and on that tour, the head coach has been wearing special jerseys of local sports legends.
On Monday, Harbaugh was back at it again when the team headed to Pearl, Mississippi.
Since it wouldn’t be a good look for Harbaugh to wear another college football team’s jersey and the state doesn’t have professional sports teams, he went with a player who made himself a legend at Ole Miss before going on to succeed with the New Orleans Saints.
Harbaugh threw on an Archie Manning jersey and everyone seemed pretty pleased with it.
This is certainly a great way to get the state of Mississippi on your side. However, I don’t think the state that mostly cheers for two SEC teams will be switching their allegiance over to “the dark side” when it comes to the Big Ten.
Despite that, I still think Jim Harbaugh should continue to do this all over the country.
