Hue Jackson still won’t name Browns starting quarterback

As the Cleveland Browns close out OTAs, there are still plenty of questions surrounding the quarterback position. Specifically, head coach Hue Jackson has still yet to name the team’s starter for the upcoming season.

Reporters asked Jackson whether a starter would be named in the near future, but it seems like Browns fans still have plenty of waiting to do.

That means the Browns will go into training camp once again without a clear starter named.

The competition is between last year’s starter Josh McCown, former No. 2 pick Robert Griffin III, rookie Cody Kessler, Connor Shaw and Austin Davis. Griffin seems to be in the driver’s seat after taking most of the first-team reps during OTAs, but only time will tell whether he can do enough to stake his claim to the No. 1 spot on the depth chart.
