Hype video celebrates future Sun Belt Championship Game

The Sun Belt became the final FBS conference to add a championship game when the conference announced the addition of a title game beginning in the 2018 season.

The conference is very excited to get their championship game started and celebrated with a pretty amazing hype video.

Sun Belt commissioner Karl Benson said that this was important for the conference to finally be “relevant in the postseason.”

“It’s exciting to know that we’ll join the other nine FBS conferences in holding a championship game,” Benson said. “The first weekend of December has truly become ‘championship weekend’ in college football. To be able to participate in such a great event is something that coaches, student-athletes and fans will all embrace.”

This is going to be a great way for the conference to boost its stock while attempting to make a run at a Group of Five New Year’s Six bowl berth.

Following the 2016 season, Coastal Carolina will join the conference as a full member, beginning with the 2017 football season. The Sun Belt will, however, lose Idaho, who is moving back down to the FCS level, and New Mexico State, who will likely move back to the Mountain West.
