The Los Angeles Rams traded for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft to select former Cal quarterback Jared Goff. On Thursday, the Rams locked in their potential franchise signal-caller to his rookie deal.
Goff agreed to the typical four-year deal with a fifth-year player option.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Goff’s rookie deal is worth $27.9 million with $18.6 million guaranteed.

Goff is one of the last first-round selections to sign his rookie deal with his team.
During his career with the Golden Bears, Jared Goff broke records by throwing for over 12,000 yards and 96 touchdowns, 43 of which came during the 2015 season.
