The Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies have not met on the football field since the 2011 season. Since then, fans of both programs have been urging the two sides to reach an agreement that would re-ignite the rivalry between the two schools.
On Friday, Longhorns head coach Charlie Strong provided some excitement for those hoping a future Longhorns-Aggies matchup could come to fruition.
According to OrangeBlood’s Anwar Richardson, Strong said Texas is “trying” to work something out with Texas A&M.

But before we get too excited, it’s important to note that no specifics have been discussed.

The two teams had one of the most entertaining rivalries before the Aggies bolted from the Big 12. So if they can re-ignite their rivalry on the gridiron, it will be a big win for everyone involved.
