Loyola women’s basketball coach Sheryl Swoopes says she did nothing wrong

Loyola women’s basketball coach Sheryl Swoopes is currently under investigation by the university after allegations that the head coach mistreated players. However, Swoopes maintains her position that she did nothing wrong.

Swoopes once again proclaimed her innocence in a statement this week.

“I stand proudly in my values, actions and intent of representing the best interests for students,” Swoopes said, via NBC Sports.

Former players allege that Swoopes created a hostile environment, but the head coach says she was only acting in concern for her players.

Swoopes has been with Loyola for the past three seasons, racking up a record of 31-62.

It will be interesting to see what the university’s investigation finds to be the truth in this story.
