Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor is facing sexual assault allegations.
A dancer at Cheerleaders Gentleman’s Club reportedly told police she was assaulted by Agholor Thursday afternoon. Philadelphia police are now on the case and are investigating the second-year Eagles player.
“There was an allegation made against one of the [Eagles] players of a sexual assault that was reported by one of the female dancers,” Philadelphia Police Commissioner Richard Ross told the Philadelphia Magazine. “Our Special Victims Unit is actively running on the investigation.”
It was also reported that two other Eagles players were in the club with Agholor on Thursday after the team finished up their last day of OTAs. Police are currently trying to obtain a video from the club.
“We are aware of the police investigation involving Nelson Agholor. The organization has been in contact with Nelson and with the proper authorities in Philadelphia. Because of the legal nature of this matter, we will have no further comment,” the team said in a statement on Friday.
During the 2015 season, Agholor recorded only 283 yards and a touchdown through 13 games.
