Paxton Lynch third on Broncos depth chart

The Denver Broncos moved up five spots in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft to select former Memphis Tigers quarterback Paxton Lynch. However, it doesn’t look like he is the favorite to win the starting job despite being the team’s first pick.

It was reported on Tuesday that Lynch is currently third on the Broncos’ depth chart. Mike Klis of 9News in Denver that Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian are currently neck-and-neck to win the starting job.

There are still a few months before the start of the 2016 season and everything could change before the Broncos take the field Week 1. However, it looks like Paxton Lynch could be sitting and waiting for his turn to shine in the NFL.

The Broncos open the 2016 season on Thursday, September 8 when they take on the Carolina Panthers in a Super Bowl 50 rematch.
