Kentucky State LB Josh Williams killed in shooting at age 24

There is some sad news to report in the college football world with a narrative that, sadly, has become all too common across the country. This week, Kentucky State linebacker Josh Williams was killed in a shooting in Inglewood, Calif.

Williams, who began his career at Oregon State, was just 24 years old.

“KSU Athletics is deeply saddened by the loss of one of its own,” Director of Athletics William Head said in a statement released on the university’s official website. “Another senseless act of violence silences a potential voice of leadership. In All Things Excellence. Thorobred down.”

Further details have not been provided.

We would like to send our deepest thoughts and condolences to the family during this incredibly difficult and tragic time.
