Cleveland bar offers Cavaliers ‘free food for life’ if they win NBA title

The Cleveland Cavaliers have done something unbelievable in the NBA Finals as they took advantage of a Draymond Green suspension and a poor performance from Steph Curry to overcome a 3-1 deficit to force a Game 7 in Oakland. They are dangerously close to winning their first championship in the franchise’s 48-year history.

If they are able to do the unthinkable and knock off the defending champion Golden State Warriors, the players on the team will be able to celebrate in style at a popular bar.

Red Bar and Lounge said they would offer the Cavs free food for life if they win the championship tonight.

“I’d love to have the players come in here but above and beyond that if they can bring us a championship, they’ll all get free food for life,” Maha Metri, one of the bar’s owners told FOX 8 in Cleveland. “I mean if this city actually wins a championship…!”

I don’t think Metri and the bar realizes how much those men could eat over a period of the next 50 years or so, but it would probably be worth it. If this bar lives up to their promise, you have to wonder what they would do if the Browns and Indians do something similar this year.

The Cavaliers and Warriors meet up at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
