Tim Tebow visits high school teammate injured in Orlando shooting

The nation is still feeling the effects of the horrific Orlando shooting that left 49 people dead and 53 injured just over a week ago. Former Florida Gators and NFL quarterback Tim Tebow is doing all he can to help the victims and one in particular who he knew very personally.

Rodney Sumter was injured in the shooting at The Pulse that fateful Saturday night. He also happened to be Tebow’s teammate at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

So when the former Gator heard about it, he cut his vacation in the Bahamas short to visit him.

My high school quarterback left the Bahamas to come and see me. Tebow has always been an awesome person.

If this doesn’t help cheer Sumter up, then nothing will. It also probably doesn’t hurt that Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston also visited him earlier this week.

Tim Tebow has always been one of the more thoughtful guys in the and this is certainly a great way to show that.
