2016 four-star offensive lineman JP Urquidez was one of the many former Baylor signees to request a release from his National Letter of Intent after the firing of Art Briles. He received that release and he will now be heading to another Big 12 school in the state of Texas.
Urquidez took to Twitter on Sunday to announce that he would be committing to play for the Texas Longhorns this season. This is a huge pickup for the Longhorns and a big blow for Baylor.

JP Urquidez joins four-star wide receiver Devin Duvernay as the second ex-Bear to commit to Texas this week. He should be a big piece for the team going into the future.
Urquidez was the No. 22 offensive tackle in the country for the 2016 class.
