The Florida Gators haven’t had a ton of luck at the wide receiver position this year with Antonio Callaway and Treon Harris both being suspended at one point. Now, they have lost another piece of their depth chart as redshirt junior Alvin Bailey announced his transfer from Gainesville.
It was reported that Bailey will transfer out of Florida after playing a minimal role over the last two years. 247Sports reported that he could be going to the FCS level and Youngstown State is a major possible landing spot.
Alvin Bailey was a four-star member of the Gators’ 2013 class, under former coach Will Muschamp. He could have been a big piece for the team, but it never came to fruition as he only caught three passes for 49 yards in his career.
The Gators lost Ryan Sousa to transfer last month. Luckily, the team signed five wide receivers in their 2016 recruiting class so depth shouldn’t be much of a problem for the team.
