Michigan State punt return up for ESPY award

One of the craziest endings of the 2015 college football season was when the Michigan State Spartans beat rival Michigan on a returned fumble for touchdown on a mishandled punt on the final play of the game.

That play is one of the eight plays nominated for the ESPY award for “Best Play” this year.

There have been some pretty crazy plays this past year in sports and now fans can vote on the best, which will be one of the many awards given out at the 2016 ESPY Awards in a few weeks. The Michigan State blocked punt is going up against Holly Holm’s unbelievable knockout of Ronda Rousey in the second round of the tournament, which fans can vote on here.

If you need a little reminder of what happened in that game, you can check it out below. Wolverines fans, avert your attention elsewhere.

This was truly a season-changer for both teams as the Spartans used this to get to the College Football Playoff, while the Wolverines could have used this as extra momentum to get to the Big Ten conference championship game.

Will this be able to beat out plays like Aaron Rodgers’ hail mary to beat the Detroit Lions or Kris Jenkins’s buzzer beater to win the national championship for Villanova? Find out on July 13 at the ESPYs!
