Martellus Bennett writes children’s book, launches app

It looks like New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell won’t be the only published author on Bill Belichick’s squad.

According to Fitz Tepper of TechCrunch.com, the always entertaining Martellus Bennett has completed a children’s book of his own. The book, titled “Hey A.J.,” will be accompanied with an interactive mobile app.

In the app, you can read the book along with a number of different characters. There is also a game where users get the opportunity to make breakfast for the title character.

The book came to life thanks to another venture from Bennett. The tight end also founded The Imagination Agency, a multimedia production company.

This will likely not be the last we see of Bennett’s creative side, as he claims to have “hundreds of characters” in his head waiting to come to life. And according to the Tech Crunch report, we could see more of them in the next year as Bennett is working on two more apps, another big and animated TV projects.

You have to appreciate all Bennett is putting his mind to off the field.
