Five-star cornerback Darnay Holmes is one of the best athletes in the country and whoever lands him will certainly have a special player going forward. He showed just how special he can be with an impressive 40-yard dash time at Nike’s The Opening earlier this week.
Holmes, the top-ranked cornerback for the 2017 recruiting class, ran a 4.32, which was faster than a lot of players at this year’s NFL Draft Combine.
That was tied with ATH Salvon Ahmed for the fastest time at the event.
The Calabasas, Calif. native has been one of the best players in the country the last two years as he has recorded over 2,200 receiving yards and 25 total touchdowns.
Seven of those scores were non-offensive, which shows just how good he can be for whoever lands him.
Right now, Darnay Holmes is uncommitted, but Calabasas High School teammates Tristan Gebbia and Keyshawn Johnson Jr. are trying to sway him to Nebraska. He holds offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State and UCLA among others.
