Illinois lands 2017 five-star F Jeremiah Tilmon

The Illinois Fighting Illini look like they can be a great team on the basketball court, but they just haven’t taken advantage of their opportunities as of late. That could all change after they landed five-star forward Jeremiah Tilmon.

Tilmon is one of the top players in the country for the 2017 recruiting class and it could be considered a huge upset for the Illini to land him. He is currently the No. 24 recruit in the country.

Head coach John Groce has been reportedly fighting for his job as he has only made one NCAA Tournament appearance, which came during his first year with the team. Landing a talented player like Jeremiah Tilmon could help save his job if he comes in and make a huge boost for the team immediately next year.
