Michael Porter Jr., nation’s No. 2 player, chooses Washington

The Washington Huskies basketball program has landed one of the top players in the Class of 2017. On Friday, the nation’s No. 2 player, Michael Porter Jr., announced on social media that he will be joining Lorenzo Romar’s squad.

The 6-foot-10, 210-pound small forward tweeted out the graphic that made all Washington fans rejoice.

Porter, a Seattle native, chose Washington over the likes of Duke, Kentucky and Kansas.

While Porter’s commitment is great news for the Huskies and their fans, it does not really come as a surprise. Earlier this spring, Porter’s father was hired by Romar as an assistant coach.

Hey, you have to use anything you can to your advantage.
