Von Miller, Broncos agree to six-year, $114.5 million deal

The Denver Broncos have had a pretty big problem on their hands over the last few months, but it looks like it has finally been cleared up. The team has finally settled on a contract with franchise linebacker Von Miller and it is as big of a payday as you would expect.

It was reported earlier on Friday that the two sides were closing in on a lucrative six-year deal. The Broncos confirmed that they had locked up Miller with a six-year, $114.5 million deal that keeps him in Denver through the 2021 season and pays him $70 million guaranteed by March of 2018.

Von Miller’s contract was set up by an incredible run in the 2015 playoffs that saw him record five sacks and two forced fumbles, both in Super Bowl 50. He won MVP of that game after he set up a fumble recovery for a touchdown by Malik Jackson on a strip sack.

In five seasons with the Broncos, Miller has recorded 210 tackles, 60 sacks, 17 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries with a touchdown. I am sure the Broncos hope they are in for much more over the next six years.
