When it comes to the Ohio State Buckeyes, there probably aren’t a ton of people that believe this team could find themselves contending for a spot in the College Football Playoff this year. However, ESPN college football analyst and former Buckeye quarterback Kirk Herbstreit seems to think they are a team that could surprise a lot of people.
The Michigan Wolverines were picked as the favorite to win the Big Ten this year with the Buckeyes ranking below their rivals in nearly every preseason poll. One fan asked Herbstreit his opinion on the Buckeyes flying “under the radar” and he seemed to agree with the fan.
@KirkHerbstreit Is it me or is Ohio State under the radar this year?

The Las Vegas sportsbooks don’t seem to think the Buckeyes are underdogs this year as they were given the second-best odds to win the national title this year, behind defending national champion Alabama. Despite that, some people seem to believe that they aren’t the favorites this year.
It is going to be very interesting to see what they do this year. Ohio State opens the season on Sept. 3 when they face the Bowling Green Falcons.
