Video: Nebraska players participate in ‘Uplifting Athletes’ fun run

Mike Riley has been hard at work trying to make a difference with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and Sunday morning, they earned another notch in the good karma department. A number of football players took to the streets to participate in the Uplifting Athletes Road Race this morning.

Uplifting Athletes is an organization “that uses college football as a platform to inspire the rare disease community with hope through the power of sport.” The Cornhuskers are one of the many programs to take part in this amazing good deed as they participated in a Fun Run and a 5K race.

Nebraska is no stranger to making those with rare diseases feel like regular children. They allowed Jack Hoffman, who was battling brain cancer at the time, score a touchdown during their 2013 spring game.

Good on you, Cornhuskers.
