Jacksonville Jaguars allowing fans to play ‘Pokemon Go’ at EverBank Field

If you are in the Jacksonville area next week, you can explore EverBank Field hunting for Pokemon. The Jacksonville Jaguars announced they would host a special event on Monday, July 25 where fans can go on a self-guided tour and access exclusive Pokestops and gyms using the popular reality mobile app “Pokemon Go.”

It is a big opportunity for many fans of the game to explore the stadium and pick up some Pokemon while possibly meeting other fans of both the game and the Jaguars.

The team announced the event, which would be the first of its kind in the NFL, in a press release on Wednesday.

Fans will be invited to access exclusive Pokémon GO Pokéstops and gyms inside EverBank Field during a one-night only experience designed to engage those who play the popular augmented reality game. All Pokémon trainers will be able to take a self-guided tour through the stadium that takes them past the world’s largest video boards, the Military Bell on the Sky Patio and Touchdown the Jaguar. The event will end with a celebration on FanDuelVille, home of the world-famous Smart Pharmacy Spas and Cabanas, providing the first 1,000 fans who complete the route with an exclusive gym badge.”

You can register for a ticket at the above link. It should be a fun night for the fans of all ages and it could be big for the Jacksonville Jaguars as I am sure many fans would want to attend games this year in hopes of finding more Pokemon.
