Very few details are available.
Foltz was the Cornhuskers starter for three seasons and was set to enter his fifth season with the program. Foltz averaged 44.2 yards per punt for the Huskers during the 2015 season, en route to earning first-team Big 10 honors.
Earlier this month, Foltz was named to the 2016 Ray Guy Award watch list as one of the top punters in the country.
Sam Foltz was everything that is good about college athletics. More than that. He was everything that was good in people. I'm heartbroken.
