Video: Lightning bolt strikes Empire State Building

Lightning storms can either be very scary or very fascinating, it all just depends on who is watching it.

However, during a storm in New York City Monday night, everyone was treated to an incredible sight when a bolt struck the Empire State Building.

I can only imagine the sound it actually made when in person, but I am sure it was pretty amazing. The God of Thunder Thor, also known as New York Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard, took to Twitter and said the blame shouldn’t be put on him for the event.

Nature does some pretty scary things sometimes, but this is one of the more amazing things it has ever done. It looks like I will have to start recording a little more often in hopes of something like this happening again.
