The Connecticut Huskies are one of the teams most often mentioned as a potential suitor for Big 12 expension. During the PGA Championship on Saturday, we were reminded of that when Yuta Ikeda stepped up to the tee to send his ball down the fairway.
During Ikeda’s swing, one fan took advantage of the silence and made his case for Big 12 expansion by shouting out, “UConn Big 12!”
Unfortunately, the ball ended up in the bunker.

Will that lucky fan get to realize his dream of seeing the Huskies in the Big 12 one day? We’ll have to wait and see.
If the Big 12 gets their way, they will be making an announcement on expansion and which new team will be joining the conference by the start of the 2016 college football season.
