Following the end of the 2015 NFL season, when quarterback Johnny Manziel actually had a roster spot in the league, there were reports that the Dallas Cowboys were looking land the Cleveland Brown. Those reports dissipated as the offseason rolled along as the Cowboys grew less interested, but the former first-round pick believes he could still end up back playing in Texas.
Manziel, who is supposedly trying to get sober in hopes of getting back into the NFL, was seen leaving a club in Hollywood Friday night. He seemed to be possibly intoxicated to some extent, but still insisted that he would be returning to the league and would be with the Cowboys when he does.
The Cowboys have made it pretty clear that they would not be pursuing Johnny Manziel at any time in the future. After his antics this offseason, I wouldn’t expect Jerry Jones to be going after the former Texas A&M Aggie and Heisman Trophy winner.
