Former Texans OL Brennan Williams signs with WWE

Last year, former Houston Texans offensive lineman Brennan Williams expressed his desire to become a professional wrestler and he will now get to live out that dream.

It was reported on Monday that Williams had signed a contract with the WWE.

Williams was selected in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Texans, but never saw the field in his rookie season after suffering a knee injury. Just a year later, he was released by the Texans and spent time bouncing around the league on practice squads.

After a year of training with WWE Hall of Famer Booker T at his wrestling promotion in Houston, Williams is ready to take the next step. The 6-foot-7, 300 pound offensive lineman, who went by the ring name Marcellus Black, will begin his training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida to try and realize his dream of working on Monday Night Raw or Smackdown Live in the future.

He seems to have the personality and charisma worthy of being in a WWE ring one day and he certainly has the size. Now, let’s see if he can get the NXT crowd behind him and build momentum towards a main roster spot.
