Oregon, Texas Tech agree to future home-and-home series

A high-profile out of conference series was announced by the Texas Tech football program on Monday, with news that a future home-and-home series with the Oregon Ducks has been set.

The two-game series will see the Red Raiders hosting their Pac-12 foe in Lubbock in 2023, before Texas Tech makes the road trip to Eugene a season later.

Texas Tech made the announcement on its official athletics website.

Oregon and Texas Tech have met two previous times, with the Ducks earning the win on the past two occasions. It is just the latest addition to the Red Raiders’ growing and challenging out of conference schedule in the upcoming years.

As for the 2016 campaign, Texas Tech is set to kickoff the new season against Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 3. The Ducks, meanwhile, also have a lay-up in Week 1 when they play host to the UC Davis Aggies on the same day.
