Earlier this year, the world was rocked when music icon Prince unexpectedly passed away. The city of Minneapolis, from where Prince hailed, was especially upset and it looks like Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater wants to honor the legend.
During the team’s practice on Sunday, Bridgewater could be heard saying “Purple Rain” during his pre-snap cadence, ESPN reported.
This is pretty awesome and we can only hope it becomes the new “Omaha” during the 2016 season. The Vikings have already announced that they will honor Prince later this year when they hold a tribute concert at U.S. Bank Stadium.
This is a terrific way to honor the legend.
