One of the top guards in the nation is closing in on his college decision. On Tuesday, five-star shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. of Saint Paul (Minn.) Apple Valley narrowed his list down to his final five schools.
Trent, the No. 2 ranked shooting guard in the Class of 2017, announced his final five on social media.
The five schools are traditional college basketball powerhouses Arizona, Duke, Kentucky, Michigan State and UCLA.

Many predict Duke will be Trent’s home.
Trent, the son of nine-year NBA veteran Gary Trent, is expected to commit to the same school as fellow five-star recruit Wendell Carter, who is the No. 4 overall player in the class.
Trent previously said he and Carter will be a package deal.
So, if Mike Krzyzewski is able to lure Trent and Carter to Durham, the Blue Devils could be well on their way to another national title.
