Michael Jordan wanted Blake Griffin to star in ‘Space Jam 2’

Basketball and Bugs Bunny fans everywhere will get a real treat when Warner Bros. releases “Space Jam 2” starring LeBron James. However, it doesn’t seem like the original star, Michael Jordan, was happy about the star casting.

Jordan was speaking at a basketball camp on Monday and one fan asked his opinion on who he would have picked to star in the sequel. He didn’t go with the man everyone compares to him, but instead went with Los Angeles Clippers star big man and mayor of Dunk City Blake Griffin.

James has already been touted as the next star of the franchise and he hopes he will be able to act his way out of Jordan’s shadow. However, Griffin wouldn’t be a bad choice as he has already showed off his charisma and even his acting chops in commercial appearances.

Alas, Griffin won’t be the star of the film and he will likely make a cameo appearance. Let’s hope his acting career goes better than that of Charles Barkley or Shaquille O’Neal.
