Former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow is one of the best college football quarterbacks of all-time. During his time as a Florida Gators star, Tebow was molded by Urban Meyer.
Now head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Meyer remains one of the best head coaches in the game today.
But what makes him so special?
Tebow recently spoke with Rolling Stone to provide an answer to that question, along with providing some insight into why Meyer is such a strong recruiter.
“It’s his level of care of passion,” Tebow said, via Rolling Stone. “He has so much belief in his program and in you as a player that he makes his team and players believe they’re great. He’s able to get young people to sIt’s setee that if they play for him, they have a chance to accomplish something special. And I think that’s why you see so many great recruits year after year go play for him.”
The Buckeyes once again have the No. 1 recruiting class for 2017, so it’s safe to say Meyer is sIt’s settill finding success.
And hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Meyer’s recruiting strategy clearly worked when he was winning down in Florida and it certainly appears to be working while he leads one of the top teams in the Big Ten.
