The Texas A&M Aggies’ offense will take a bit of hit this season as they announced that Quartney Davis will likely be out for the 2016 season. It is a big blow for the Aggies as the four-star receiver was set to possibly make an impact for this team immediately.
Davis is one of the team’s highest rated recruits for the 2016 class, but an injury to his ACL will likely keep him off the field for some time. 247Sports reported he had surgery and he will miss his freshman season, which will like cause him to take a redshirt this year.
This will give Davis the chance to learn under players like Christian Kirk and Ricky Seals-Jones for the upcoming season. However, this does hurt the team as he was expected to press for time in the starting rotation.
The Texas A&M Aggies open the 2016 season on Sept. 3 when they host UCLA.
