Boston College QB Patrick Towles dedicates 2016 season to Harambe

Boston College quarterback Patrick Towles took to social media on Saturday to deliver a very special dedication for the upcoming college football season.

When Towles suits up for the Eagles and steps onto the field, he will be doing so in the honor of everyone’s favorite gorilla, Harambe.

Yes, the Boston College signal-caller dedicated his 2016 season to the gorilla that was shot and killed at the Cincinnati Zoo after a child fell inside of its enclosure.

It’s a touching tribute from Towles and reminds us once again that Harambe will forever be in our hearts.

RIP, Harambe.

Boston College opens its 2016 campaign on Saturday, Sept. 3 when it makes the trip to Dublin, Ireland to take on Georgia Tech.
