The Arizona State Sun Devils lost Mike Bercovici to graduation earlier this year and they have to replace him for the 2016 season. It looks like they could be losing a young quarterback as Bryce Perkins could be looking to transfer out of Tempe in the near future.
Doug Haller of The Arizona Republic reported that Perkins, younger brother of former UCLA running back Paul Perkins, was not at practice on Tuesday after suffering an injury in practice on Monday. Because of him trailing Manny Wilkins and Brady White for the starting job, he is likely looking elsewhere to continue his career.
There is a possibility that the redshirt freshman could switch positions to stay with the Sun Devils, but it is looking more like he will seek a transfer. The Sun Devils won’t be hurting for quarterbacks much as freshman Dillon Sterling-Cole just got on campus and 2017 quarterback Ryan Kelley is committed to the team.
Bryce Perkins was a three-star member of Arizona State’s 2015 recruiting class and was the No. 6 player in the state of Arizona.
