USA basketball team visits Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio

A number of NBA stars are currently in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil representing the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics. But while the players are proudly representing their country, they are also taking some time to enjoy the sights and sounds of Brazil.

On Tuesday morning, that led to the basketball team taking a group field trip to see the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue.

The team documented the trip on social media.

Team USA doesn’t return to the court until Wednesday when they take on Australia, so it’s great to see they are staying loose and enjoying their time in Rio.

In the meantime, you can enjoy more photos and videos from the team’s day off by adding the official Team USA basketball account on Snapchat at “usabsnap.”
