Texas State DE Ramon Readus dismissed from team

The Texas State Bobcats have been experiencing a makeover since Everett Withers took over the program earlier this year. It has started with getting troublemakers off the team and it looks like another one has bit the dust in true freshman defensive end Ramon Readus.

It was reported on Wednesday that Readus had been dismissed from the team since an arrest in early July. He was picked up for assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor.

Readus was arrested after he got into an altercation with another person on July 4. It was reported that police were called to an apartment building near campus and that the victim had suffered minor injuries.

Since Withers took over the Bobcats’ program in January, 16 players have either been dismissed or quit the football team. It seems that Ramon Readus was just experiencing another day in San Marcos, Texas.

Readus was a three-star member of the Bobcats’ 2016 recruiting class.
