Vanderbilt, Colorado State announce four-year series starting in 2020

Mike Bobo will likely be meeting up with an old SEC East rival as the Colorado State Rams have announced a four-year series with the Vanderbilt Commodores slated to begin in 2020.

It looks like these two teams will have a good series of games in the coming years.

It was announced in a statement on Thursday that the Rams will host the Commodores on Sept. 11, 2021 and Sept. 26, 2026. Vanderbilt will play host to the Mountain West opponent on Sept. 26, 2020 and Sept. 27 2025.

We have high goals and aspirations for our program, to provide our students with the experience of playing against the best possible competition during their time as a Ram,” Bobo said in a statement. “At home and away, our team and our fans can anticipate an aggressive approach to scheduling future opponents.”

These two teams have never met in the past, so it will be interesting to see how Colorado State, who have a slight chance of joining the Big 12, will match-up with Vanderbilt. Over the next ten seasons, the Rams have 17 Power Five conference opponents scheduled.
