Western Kentucky to unveil new uniforms Saturday

If you are a uniform junkie, you are going to want to pay close attention this weekend. That is because the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are set to unveil new threads for the upcoming college football season at this Saturday’s fan fest.

The uniforms will be unveiled at some point during the festivities which will be held at Diddle Arena from 2-4 p.m. local time.

In addition to seeing the new uniforms unveiled, fans will have the opportunity to meet players and receive autographs, along with other activities and potential to earn free tickets to a home game this season.

Highlighted by an autographs and interactive stations with the Hilltopper football team, the event will also include inflatables, face painting, balloon artists and more. The first 500 fans in the door can also take advantage of free ice cream and free popcorn.

The program will unveil new uniforms for the 2016 season as well.

Landshark Shredding will also be on hand to help Hilltopper fans, “Shred for Red”, where patrons can bring an opposing team’s piece of apparel to shred and receive a free ticket to a home football game of their choosing.

In recent days, Western Kentucky has been teasing the uniforms on social media.

By the looks of the team’s official Twitter account, the new uniforms will feature the phrase “we shall never fail thee,” a lyric from the university’s alma mater, “College Heights.”
