Mississippi State, Tulane agree to home-and-home series

The Mississippi State Bulldogs and Tulane Green Wave will reignite their series which dates back to 1901.

The two programs announced they have agreed to a future home-and-home series which begins when the Green Wave travel to Starkville in 2020. Mississippi State will then return the favor and make the trip to New Orleans for a meeting at Yulman Stadium in 2023.

“It’s been a pleasure working with Tulane AD Troy Dannen to renew the longstanding football series between the Bulldogs and Green Wave,” MSU athletic director Scott Stricklin said in a statement.

“New Orleans is a great destination for our Bulldog fans and a place we hope to get to more often in the future.”

Mississippi State beat Tulane 24-6 the last time the two teams played in 2007. Overall, the two teams have met a total of 58 times with the Bulldogs holding a 30-26-2 series advantage.
