The Texas Longhorns have a big decision to make over the next few weeks leading up to the start of the 2016 college football season. They will either go with true freshman quarterback Shane Buechele or senior quarterback Tyrone Swoopes, but that decision won’t come next week.
Rivals’ Anwar Richardson reported that head coach Charlie Strong said the Longhorns won’t be making a decision for their signal caller next week as previously reported.
It looks like they want to keep it quiet so Notre Dame doesn’t get a clue as to who they will face on Sept. 4.

Buechele is one of the highest-rated recruits in Texas’s 2016 class, coming in as the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 29 overall player in the state of Texas. He has a ton of talent and potential
Swoopes, on the other hand, has a ton of experience playing for the Longhorns. In three seasons, he has thrown for 2,972 yards and 17 touchdowns, while rushing for 792 yards and 17 touchdowns, 12 of which came in 2015.
