Iowa LB Nick Wilson hit with pair of charges

|

Nick Wilson is a redshirt freshman linebacker with the Iowa Hawkeyes and he likely won’t make a big impact for the team this year. However, after the events Saturday night, he might no even be with the team too much longer.

It was reported that Wilson had been arrested for OWI and driving on a suspended license light Saturday night into early Sunday morning. The details of what led to the traffic stop are currently unknown.

The team has not responded to the matter publicly as of Sunday afternoon.

Wilson was a three-star member of the Hawkeyes’ 2015 recruiting class and he was the No. 15 player in the state of Iowa. He is likely going to be the third person on the depth chart at outside linebacker this year.

The Hawkeyes open the season on Sept. 3 against the Miami-Ohio RedHawks.
