Cal arrives in Australia, hang with Marshawn Lynch

|

The Cal Golden Bears will be opening the 2016 college football season on Friday when they take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in a special meeting in Sydney, Australia.

The PAC-12 team has already arrived down under and it looks like they had a pretty good time on their first day.

The Golden Bears touched down in Australia Sunday afternoon and they had a surprising cavalcade of fans welcoming them into the country.

They then wasted little time getting on the field for their first practice and then hit up the beach once things were wrapped up.

The team was even surprised by former running back Marshawn Lynch, who retired from the NFL following the 2015 season. It even looks like fans in Sydney will get to meet the former Golden Bear great.

The Golden Bears and Rainbow Warriors take the field on Friday with the game beginning at 10 p.m. EST on ESPN.
