Last night, Seth Rollins and Finn Balor battled at SummerSlam to become the first ever WWE Universal Champion. Ahead of the match, the championship itself was revealed and there was almost an immediate negative reaction.
The title is similar to the WWE World Championship, but with a red strap instead of black. During the match, fans could be heard chanting things like “that belt sucks” and Rollins didn’t seem to appreciate that at all.

Rollins took to Twitter and expressed his disappointment in the fans in the Barclays Center, saying that the men fighting for the championship should matter more than what the title looks like.
More important than a title's appearance is what it represents for the men fighting over it. You really let me down tonight, Brooklyn.

I can’t blame Rollins for being upset with the fans last night as they didn’t seem to pay attention to he and Balor, who put on the best match of the night outside of John Cena and AJ Styles putting on a classic earlier in the show. Fans, especially those from other parts of the world, have been known for having interesting chants and sometimes overshadowing the superstars and matches and it is usually entertaining.
However, this time they may have gone too far in the negative direction and ruined what was a terrific battle.
