Washington State flag makes appearance in Australia

The 2016 college football season officially kicked off Friday night as the Cal Golden Bears beat down the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors in a special game in Sydney, Australia.

Wherever there is a special college football event, you can almost guarantee to see Washingston State’s flag Ol’ Crimson.

That is exactly what happened during the game last night (or this morning whatever your perspective is). A fan brought the flag, which hasn’t missed a College Gameday event in about five years and it shows that they are committed to showing their Cougar pride.

While that actually isn’t the traditional crimson flag, it is still pretty awesome to see that the Cougars are pretty ready for the 2016 season. You can guarantee to see the flag wherever College Gameday takes place and it only makes me hope ESPN decides to take a trip to Pullman at some point this year.

The Cougars open the season on Sept. 3 against Eastern Washington.
