Report: Pac-12 reaches deal with Fox Sports Australia

The California Golden Bears are returning home from a blowout win over Hawaii in Australia to kickoff the 2016 college football season, but that isn’t the last time Pac-12 football will be in the land down under.

According to Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury-News, the conference has agreed to a television deal with FOX Sports Australia.

Wilner states that with the deal Fox Sports Australia will air 21 men’s basketball games and 13 football games. In addition, an Australia game could become an annual tradition, with Stanford reportedly interested in making the trip.

The more markets you can air in the more exposure you get. It’s really that simple and the writing was on the wall that this type of deal could be coming if the Australia game turned into a success. And that’s exactly what it was.
